CALLING ALL MEMBERSHIP DUES!  Reminders were sent out in early August and the response has been good!  If you have had 64 birthdays or less, your membership dues are $15 and for those of you with 65 birthdays or more, your membership dues are $13.  Please make your checks payable to:  Sandy Szollosi, 1184 Linden Ave. Akron, OH  44310.

CELEBRATING OF 75 YEARS!   On October 31 the Post and Auxiliary will celebrate their 75th Anniversary . . . Stay tuned for more details!

LADIES DISTRICT 8 MEETING to be held Sunday, September 12 at the Northfield Post 6768, 8584 Olde Eight Rd., Northfield, OH.  Breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Registration from 8:30 am. to Noon and the meeting starts at 10 a.m.

There will be a District 8 Safety Seminar at the Summit County Sheriff’s Training Center on     September 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 pm.

LADIES AUXILIARY CRAFT SHOW to be held Saturday, October 23rd.   Please support our event by renting a table (only $15.00) to display your special craft.  Also, we are having an Auxiliary  bake sale. Please consider donating your favorite bake good to our Auxiliary table. Please call Rose Yen, 330-733-5571 — leave a message for call back, to reserve a table and baked goods drop off!

EVERYONE IS WELCOME to join us at our next Ladies Auxiliary meeting Tuesday, September 21st at 6:30 p.m.  Have a wonderful September!

VOLUNTEER FOR THE STANDDOWN on Sept. 12th and 13th!  We need volunteers to          assemble ditty bags on Sept. 12 at 1:00 p.m., and volunteers to assemble donations and assist  in the kitchen on Sept. 13 at 9:00 a.m.  An hour or two of your time would be greatly appreciated. DONATE COOKIES & CLEAN USED WINTER CLOTHING FOR STANDDOWN . . . Starting Sept. 11th, we are accepting cookies in our Canteen for our Veterans lunches, & Sept. 3rd after 1:00 p.m. begins the drop off of appropriate clothing for our Veterans.  Your generous help is always appreciated.
