Firestone Post 3383

COMMANDER’S CORNER:  Shawn Jackson, Commander

First, I want to thank each and every member, including our wonderful Auxiliary Members, of VFW Firestone Post 3383 for all of your support during this year’s election of officers.

I want each of you to know that every officer installed this year was a perfect choice by you.  With the dedication, the integrity, the honor, and most of all, the Love and respect for every single Veteran, Spouse, Widow, Dependant, and Orphan instilled within every officer appointed at this Post will make this 75th year nothing but a substantial success!

I would like to take this moment to, once again, recognize the individuals in which you, the post, have appointed to serve and bring success to this Post.  Those dedicated individuals are as follows: Sr. Vice CDR Mr. John Stiles, and Jr. Vice CDR Mr. Dave Noaker.  Also, with respect, our Chaplain Mr. Ed Rose.  I want to also recognize the individuals who have given support for so many years, and continue to serve in their ensuing capacity, Quartermaster Mr. Byron Morris, and Adjutant Mr. Mike Bilich.  My hats off to all of these individuals, and I thank you for your continuing support.

I look forward to serving you, and this post, with every ounce of detail and persistence of my being.  Always remember, my only promise to you and this Post, is I will never falter to give 100% to you and our cause.  Also as a reminder, there should never be a question of doubt as to the support given to our most gracious and unselfish Ladies Auxiliary Members, by myself and the Post Line Officers!    Ladies of our post, know you are much needed, and will always be well supported.   This paragraph would not be complete without recognizing our Men’s Auxiliary.  My congratulations go out to both Auxiliaries and their line officers.  On behalf of myself and VFW Firestone Post 3383, I want to thank you for the support you give to our Post.

In closing, I challenge each and every one of you to give as much of your 100%, right along side me!  I humbly look forward to this year, and all of the events to come.  Let this 75th year be full of hard work, and hard play, and let the rest fall in place.  For the individuals not specifically mentioned in this letter, know that you’re not, nor will you ever be, forgotten.  A special “Thank You” goes to the most beautiful and most supportive of all, my amazing and stunning wife, Mrs. Adriana Margarita Jackson.  Without your support, it would be very difficult to continue my passion for this post, and the VFW in general.  I wish you and yours nothing but the best during this successful and stellar 75th year of the birth of our Post!  God Bless.
